Huntingdon placed the effort into tonight's game but just couldn't come up with the buckets needed to keep pace with Bellefonte as they fell tonight 65-57 to the Raiders. Bellefonte didn't miss a shot in the first quarter and finished the frame with a 14-4 lead.
At the end of the first half, Bellefonte led 36-18. Huntingdon never gave up and continued to chip away but simply couldn't close the gap.
Ralph Zoerner lead Huntingdon in scoring with 22 with Ryan Ritchey adding 17 points and 8 boards. Neyman pulled down 12 rebounds while Claar added 5 assists.
In the Junior Varsity game, Tanner Cook lead the Bearcats with a team high 8 points in a losing effort to the Raiders 47-31.
The Huntingdon 9th grade team won a close 41-39 decision.
The teams will be in action this coming Monday, January 16 at Bellefonte.
